Craig Poulton will be giving a talk on successful raising of cichlid fry.

MINI AUCTION

Mini auctions usually start at approximately 8.30pm.

We are expecting 70 lots to go up for sale. We aren't able to advise what fish and goods will be available for sale as club members enter their lots on the night just before the auction starts.

An auction will typically have lots of the following for sale (but there is no guarantee these will be for sale on the night):

• African Cichlids - a variety of species from Lake Malawi, Lake Tanganyika, Lake Victoria and also Rift Lakes.
• American Cichlids - a variety of species from large Central Americans to the smaller dwarf American cichlids
• Catfish and plecos - a variety of all different types of catfish, typically including bristlenose and L numbers
• Dry goods - breeding caves, driftwood, aquascaping rocks, filters, etc. Note only brand new electrical items are sold at the auction.

ENTERING AUCTION LOTS

1. For those financial members entering lots (see here for mini auction book in sheet and mini auction rules)
2. Read and follow the bagging rules (see here for bagging guide)
3. Read and follow the minimum sizing rules (see here for minimum sizing rules) for the fish your are entering into the auction.
4. If you think the fish you are entering is rare, or believe we may not have this fish in our database of photos, please bring a photo along with you on a USB so we can upload the picture for the auction. If we have a picture, more people are able to see what the fish looks like before they commit to bidding!

BIDS & PAYMENT

Bids: will be in minimum amounts of:
$1 increments from $1 to $20.
$2 increments from $20 to $50.
$5 increments beyond $50 and $10 bids after $100.
Note: auctioneers may accept bids less than the increments if they see fit.

Payment: Cash only.

Mini auctions usually start at approximately 8.30pm.

We are expecting 70 lots to go up for sale. We aren't able to advise what fish and goods will be available for sale as club members enter their lots on the night just before the auction starts.

An auction will typically have lots of the following for sale (but there is no guarantee these will be for sale on the night):

• African Cichlids - a variety of species from Lake Malawi, Lake Tanganyika, Lake Victoria and also Rift Lakes.
• American Cichlids - a variety of species from large Central Americans to the smaller dwarf American cichlids
• Catfish and plecos - a variety of all different types of catfish, typically including bristlenose and L numbers
• Dry goods - breeding caves, driftwood, aquascaping rocks, filters, etc. Note only brand new electrical items are sold at the auction.

ENTERING AUCTION LOTS

1. For those financial members entering lots (see here for mini auction book in sheet and mini auction rules)
2. Read and follow the bagging rules (see here for bagging guide)
3. Read and follow the minimum sizing rules (see here for minimum sizing rules) for the fish your are entering into the auction.
4. If you think the fish you are entering is rare, or believe we may not have this fish in our database of photos, please bring a photo along with you on a USB so we can upload the picture for the auction. If we have a picture, more people are able to see what the fish looks like before they commit to bidding!

BIDS & PAYMENT

Bids: will be in minimum amounts of:
$1 increments from $1 to $20.
$2 increments from $20 to $50.
$5 increments beyond $50 and $10 bids after $100.
Note: auctioneers may accept bids less than the increments if they see fit.

Payment: Cash only.

WHAT’S ON THIS MONTH?

ANNUAL GENERAL MEETING (AGM)

The club has it's Annual General Meeting in August. The current committee will stand down and nominations are to be made for the new committee! Financial members are able to vote, nominate and be nominated! If you want to get involved and be a part of the NSWCS committee - now is the time.

We are looking for some fresh faces to join the committee for the coming year. If you would like to lend a hand and be a part of the organisation side of things for our meetings, why not join the committee???

MEGA FISH RAFFLE

Our MEGA Fish Raffle is back again! There will be plenty of bags of fish in this raffle, so come along and try to win your ultimate bag of fish! We will post a list of fish we are expecting to have in the raffle a few days before the meeting on this page of our website and the NSWCS Facebook page so make sure you follow the page. Please note that the list is subject to change due to unforeseen circumstances beyond our control.

The MEGA Fish Raffle works like a normal raffle - tickets need to be bought. If your number is called, you are able to take one bag of fish of your choice. Each number that gets called = one bag of fish. The number of fish will vary per bag.
